Young breed of real estate brokers expected two years from now – PRC Davao

mar 13, 2013

A young breed of real estate brokers are expected to dominate in the number of takers and passers of real estate examinations when the first batch of the four-year Real Estate Management Degree will graduate two years from now.

“When those schools who offered the real estate degree course start to produce graduates, then they are the only ones who can take the real estate licensure examinations,” said lawyer May Suzanne Puentespina, legal chief of the Professional Regulation Commission- Davao Regional Office.

In effect, she added, the seminar certification on the 120-hour real estate training made by PRC-accredited service provider such as the Philippine Association of Real Estate Board and its member organizations is eliminated, and what comes as the prerequisite of real estate exams is the diploma.

The Real Estate Service Act (RESA) Law of 2009 provided such requirement.

Real estate organizations packaged the comprehensive real estate seminar and review (Cresar) at a price of P10,000 to P20,000 per participant.

The real estate brokers exams this year is scheduled on Sunday, March 16 with PRC testing centers in Manila, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu, Iloilo and Lucena City. (Rural Urban News/Cha Monforte)
