Vincent F: “No comment yet” to CISA controversy

Feb 17-23,2011

Davao del Norte liga ng barangay representative Vincent “Enteng” Floirendo said Wednesday that he does not want to comment yet to the running “CISA controversy” in the Capitol.
“I’m still new (member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan) compared to others, so ayaw ko’ng makialam dyan,” he said in an interview at his legislative office in the SP Building.
He said that starting when he was sworn in as a new ex-officio boardmember being the barangay liga president and made his first attendance two months ago he is still “always observing and listening” during sessions in a way a neophyte legislator would most probably do at the threshold of his learning curve.
He added that he is definitely learning valuable insights and knowledge from floor deliberations of his older colleagues.
But for now, he said, “I’ll better observe and listen, and “no comment muna” as to the CISA controversy, which he said is the first contentious issue he has encountered as a neophyte member of the provincial board. “Parang magulo,eh.”
Boardmember Floirendo is the barangay captain of Barangay Adecor in Kaputian District of the Island Garden of Samal.
He is the youngest sibling of the Floirendos who own the Tadeco banana conglomerate, and pundits said he is groomed to succeed second-termer District 2 Congressman Anton Lagdameo. (cha monforte)
