Land Transportation Office provincial director Marietta Piccio has bared that Tagum City has now 31 LTO-deputized traffic officers and police personnel who can issue Temporary Operator’s Permit (TOP) to drivers violating traffic rules and regulations.
She said that her office has recently issued deputization order to additional 16 traffic enforcers and policemen who earlier applied to beef up the city’s existing 15 LTO-deputized trafficmen and policemen in the city.
The applications, she added, were made obviously in view of the City Hall’s tougher campaign against prohibited loading and unloading of passengers’ vans.
On the other hand, Piccio also bared the number of LTO-deputized trafficmen and policemen in other towns and cities under its coverage, which are 4 in Panabo City, 6 in Carmen, 9 in Kapalong, 4 in Sto. Tomas, 2 in San Isidro, 3 in Talaingod, 2 in Asuncion, 5 for Provincial Public Safety Management Company (formerly named Provincial Mobile Group) and 1 in Laak. (Rural Urban News/Cha Monforte)
